We're just a couple of musicians who enjoy
Seeing live music - especially local artists.
We were brought up in New Orleans, a city where music was the focal point; and the who, what, where, and when was always at our fingertips. When we moved to Ohio, our first inclination (of course) was to find clubs, bars, and restaurants where one could have an intimate drink and hear some local music.

The online search brought all kinds of information on national acts playing at big, awesome venues…but that was not the vibe we craved. Maybe the local papers would have music listings? Nope. City/tourism websites? Nada!
During our first year in Akron, we explored our nearby areas and booked a few gigs for ourselves ‘cause that’s what we do (Check us out at www.sunflurrymusic.com). Finally, the sought after information on who’s playing where made its way to us in bits and pieces. Still, on those nights out, we were lost with nowhere to go but home.
We created the website, entered some dates from the few artists we knew and immediately felt a sense of satisfaction and excitement. And, when musicians and venues got involved and sent us their events for the website… Voila! No more typing in multiple website addresses or going to facebook pages on the phone in the car, or texting people who might know the local music intel… Laissez les bon temps rouler!
Ohio Livewire is a purely selfish endeavor.
